Aubourn Hall Gardens, Aubourn, Lincolnshire

Seven miles southwest of Lincoln, off the A607 at Harmston or off the A46 through Haddington, is Aubourn Hall.

This charming, historic building has stood since the later years of the Tudor dynasty with the work finally completed during the early 17th century. It resides within a most beautiful landscape of gardens, ponds, paths and shrubbery, stretching over 10 acres.

There is free parking and a picnic area to enjoy food and drink but the gardens are only open on a few occasions per year and can be booked for private tours.

The scenic village of Aubourn sits in the valley formed by the River Witham as it winds eastwards to The Wash.
