St James' Church, Grimsby, Lincolnshire

St James' Church, Grimsby, Lincolnshire

Dedicated to Saint James and located in the heart of Grimsby, this Anglican medieval Church was built during the early 12th century.

St. James' is the only Parish Church in the country with its own Choir School and has provided choristers for the Grimsby Parish Church since the late 19th century. Choral services of the highest standard have been sung here since those early days, and the Church is rightly proud of its choral tradition.

Renovation commenced in the late 20th century with the laying of a new stone floor and under-floor heating. A permanent stone altar was also built in the nave and the grounds were landscaped to provide a pleasant square around the building.
