True Loaf Bakery Ltd, Kirton, Lincolnshire

True Loaf Bakery Ltd are stoutly committed to organic farming and use only the finest quality Organic Grown British Wheat. Flours are totally unbleached and untreated with nothing added or removed.

Grinding up to 10 different Pure Stoneground Organic Flours, sold in their delightful tea room and to customers online, the bakery is located at Mount Pleasant Mill, a traditional, four sail windmill north of Kirton-in-Lindsey, on the North Cliff Road, in the north of the county.

The windmill was built in the late 19th century, circa 1875, for miller Edric Lansdall. It has a slightly tapering four-storeyed tarred tower mill with onion-shaped cap and fantail on top of the remaining roundhouse of a previously erected post-mill. There are breathtaking views over the Trent Valley and the Wolds and it was wind powered until 1936 when the sails were removed.

Milling by wind power did not recommence until renovations were completed in 1991 and, nearly a decade later, the premises were purchased by True Loaf Bakery Ltd,

Milling is daily so total freshness is guaranteed.
