Legbourne Wood, Legbourne, Lincolnshire
Brimming with widlife, Legbourne Wood is one of the largest ancient woods on the eastern side of the county. It is also one of Lincolnshire Trusts largest wooded reserves.
Populated with ash and oak, there have been recorded an astonishing sixtiy species of wildflowers offering a riotous bloom of colours and aromas.
The woods are inhabited by many birds and includes one of the largest heronries in the county. There is parking and wheelchair access but dogs are not allowed.
