Lincoln United FC, Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Lincoln United FC, known as "The Whites", are a non-league football team who play at the NTR Stadium, with a capacity crowd of 2,200.
The club was founded in 1938, as the Lincoln Amateurs, and were admitted to the Lincoln League. In 1951, following an away match in Sleaford, they came up with the name Lincoln United.
The ground backs onto the pleasant and popular Hartsholme Country Park, offering a surrounding backdrop of tall trees and distant buildings.
A home game will typically see several hundred local fans sitting in one of two stands or leaning on the barriers around the pitch. There is a good family atmosphere to the club and facilities include an indoor kiosk selling hot and cold food and drink.
Lincoln have twice reached the first round proper of the FA Cup, in 1991–92 and 1997–98, a superb achievement for a non-league team.
