Brumby Wood Local Nature Reserve, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire

Brumby Wood is an ancient semi-natural woodland.
There are 12.2 hectares, divided across the Kingsway road, filled with various plants and in places, a good growth of scrub and brambles, especially on the eastern side of the road where the canopy is more open.
The ground flora is interesting with wide distribution of bluebells and dog’s mercury and there are some old oak trees on the western edge of the reserve.
