Cleethorpes Boating Lake, Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire
Surrounded by pleasant grassland, ideal for picnics and family fun, there are two main lakes with a connecting channel at the Cleethorpes Boating Lake.
The north lake is open for fishing and is used by a model boat association. Set in the middle of this lake is an illuminated fountain. At the northern most tip of the lake is an open air paddling pool for children.
The south lake is open for the hire of rowing boats and pedaloes in the summer season and a small waterfall cascades from one of the islands, making a great fun tropical atmosphere!
There is a small zoo in the lakes area, called Jungle World, a pleasant walk around for smaller types but not exactly a full zoo experience.
The Cleethorpes Light Railway runs along one side of the lake.
