Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Originally a church founded in the 950s to help evangelise the area.
Begun in 1072 on the orders of William The Conqueror and a masterpiece of English Gothic architecture. Most of the building was completed in the thirteenth century.
