South Common, Lincoln, Lincolnshire
South Common is a broad open area on the southeastern boundary of Lincoln.
Bracing in the winter, stunning in the summer, it settles between Canwick and Bracebridge Heath and nearby agricultural fields.
With swaying grass and scrub there is a variety of wildlife and plants for the keen eyes to absorb including Devil’s Bit Scabious, which is becoming quite rare in the county.
