The Lincolnshire Wolds Railway, Ludborough, Lincolnshire

The picturesque Wolds countryside, with its sweeping hills and dense woodland and scattered farmlands, defying the notion of a flat county, is where the clatter of iron against track can be heard and the unmistakable smell of soot can be smelt as the LWR roars the past joy of steam back to the digital present.
The LWR operates on a stretch of line that used to be part of the Great Northern route from Boston to Grimsby and is only a short distance from the seaside resort of Cleethorpes and the historic market town of Louth.
At the station, on running days, children and adults can browse the gift shop and return home with a gift or two from their visit. Also, there is the chance to re-live the memories of days gone with the newly-extended railway memorabilia museum.
Light refreshments and hot drinks are available and wheelchair/disabled access is provided. Car parking is free.
