Museum of RAF Firefighting, Scampton, Lincolnshire
At RAF Scampton can be found Britain's only Museum of RAF Fire Fighting, since the closure of the one at RAF Manston, Kent.
Housing an incredible and fascinating collection of vehicles and artefacts, the museum tells the story of fire fighting from the earliest days to modern times.
There are plenty of facilities including a cafe serving hot and cold drinks and snacks, toilets, and a souvenir shop selling drawings, posters pictures and more.
Due to the location of the museum within the grounds of an RAF base, the only means of access is via appointment through 01522 730198.
All visitors aged 16+ will need to bring along photographic proof of ID to gain entry.
