North Lincolnshire Museum, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire
On Oswald Road, near the railway station in Scunthorpe, is the North Lincolnshire museum, brimming with artefacts and slices of history.
It features interactive exhibits and covers archaeology, nature, the Victorian era, and both World Wars. Its rooms are within Frodingham Vicarage, built during the late 19th century, on the site of Frodingham Hall.
The Barnetby Font (pictured) a rare lead baptismal font from the church of St Mary, Barnetby-le-Wold, circa late 12th century, is one of the many splendid pieces housed in the museum.
