Donna Nook Nature Reserve, Donna Nook (approx. 45 miles away)

One of the largest and most accessible breeding colonies of grey seals in the United Kingdom. The first pups are born in early November and the last in mid-late December, mostly along the edge of the dunes. A mid-week visit is highly recommended due to the poularity of the Reserve.

The Humber Forts, Cleethorpes (approx. 48 miles away)

The Humber Forts are two large fortifications in the mouth of the Humber: Haile Sand Fort and Bull Sand Fort. Built in 1914 to protect the entrance to the estuary, there was accommodation for 200+ soldiers.
