As the street name suggests, a steep hill in the heart of Lincoln. Shop lined and very quaint.At the top is the entrance to Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral and at the bottom is "The Strait" where you'll find Cardinal's Hat & Dernstall House. After this it's all about shopping.
Upton Chippy can be found in the middle of Upton village. It's no ordinary fish and chip shop either as it's one of the last, if not thee last, coal fired fish and chip shops in existence. Virtually nothing has changed since 1948 and the place is like a working museum.
The Beehive Inn is one of the oldest pubs in Grantham and since at least 1830 there has been a hive of bees in a lime tree above the pub's sign. Due to its uniqueness, the hive has protected status from the local council.Its also the reason the pub is named "The Beehive".
